Photo shoot with Jake the Lab and Lola the Kitty!

Anyone who knows me knows that I love both cats and dogs equally, and I have one of each in my home (Rufus and Ferguson). I also love doing pet photography of both dogs and cats, even though they are about as different as photographing landscape and weddings. But I do love doing both, so you can imagine my excitement when a former client of mine bought a photo shoot for her good friend and her dog Lola and her cat Jake! Getting the chance to photograph both a dog and a cat in one session is a dream come true for an animal-lover like myself, so I was very eager to meet them and make them look amazing with my photos.

We started the shoot indoors with the two of them posing together, and when the light was good we headed over to a secret spot in San Francisco for a little off-leash time with Lola. She was too cute, and spent the first part of the shoot running all over the place chasing an Angry Birds toy. She then spent the second half of the shoot laying on the green grass, and chewing a stick.

When we were done we headed back home for a few more shots of Jake, and even got a great group shot! Here are some of my photos from the shoot – I hope you enjoy them!
