Kanga Roo, Skittles, and Hectorooni
It’s always fun taking photos of returning clients’ pets, and this year I was lucky enough to photograph an adorable cat (and dogs, see separate post) that I photographed last year, along with two new additions to the family! Those who follow me on Facebook will recall the special kitty I met at Saving Grace Rescue named Kanga Roo. She was born with deformed front legs, most likely the result of a breeding attempt that didn’t turn out normal. She is missing bones in her legs, which gives shortened legs that grew in a weird direction. What’s hilarious is Kanga doesn’t even mind at all, and stands on her hind legs instead of lowering herself down to rest on the tiny legs. She is also in no pain, and gets around just like a normal cat. She is one-of-a-kind, for sure.
What is crazy is the family that adopted her had already hired me in 2014 to photograph their cat Skittles and two dogs, Brandon and Brownie, so when they added Kanga Roo to the mix I was already pretty familiar with her. Then they added a little orange tabby named Hectorooni, also from Saving Grace Rescue. They all get a long – even with the dogs, and are all just so cute. This shoot was a blast and I love all the photos. I can’t wait to do it again in 2016! Here are some photos of Kanga Roo, Skittles, and Hectorooni!
All the pictures you’ve done for that family are awesome!
